Il Magico Scolabus (The Magic School Bus): in collaboration with the Oltre Confine guides and the Dramatrà actors, we propose a project that accompanies children and young people around the historic centre of Milan, with a cultural walking tour followed by a special theatrical intervention, with actors in costume who will stage the history and characters of the places visited in accordance with the educational programme of the participating classes.
Discover Milan with your companions amidst architectural beauty, stories, anecdotes and theatre, from the heights of our panoramic buses.
This tour is conducted in collaboration with the Dramatrà theatre company and starts by meeting the actors in Piazza Castello, and then begins the discovery of the streets of the city centre. A real treasure hunt in Parco Sempione, with the help of a booklet and a map with clues to find the right places, where our actors will ask questions that can only be answered... by looking around!
When the time is up, the little searchers have to hand in their answer sheets. The winner is the one who has uncovered the most details.
Realised in collaboration with the Oltreconfine tourist guides, this is a real walking tour that starts in the centre of Milan par excellence: Piazza Duomo, the cathedral square dedicated to Santa Maria Nascente, an artistic masterpiece of the Lombard Gothic style that Alessandro Manzoni called 'that great machine'. During the tour, we will then touch on Palazzo Reale, the old government palace that was built as the first palace of the Broletto.
We then pass by Via Mercanti, where the new Broletto stands, the representative seat of municipal power. Finally, we arrive at the Castello Sforzesco, a defence building and noble residence built by Francesco Sforza, embellished and modified by his successors, where we will recount facts of arms and court gossip as we stroll through the Piazza d'Armi and the Cortile della Rocchetta.
The tour starts with a ride on our panoramic bus on the HIGHLIGHTS route. After the tour on the bus, a short walk through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele will lead the class to the LEONARDO3 Museum (click here), on the corner of the Galleria and Piazza della Scala. The museum visit will feature never-before-seen reconstructions of Leonardo's machines, restorations of paintings in a world premiere, and multimedia experiences that will allow students to interact with the works and codes of the great artist and inventor.
Lunch break in the city centre and then a magical meeting: who will be waiting for the class in Piazza Mercanti? Leonardo da Vinci himself! A Dramatrà actor dressed in Leonardo's costume will lead the group on a fascinating tour through the streets of Milan, staging points of interest and involving the students with the energy and emotions of a theatrical experience outside the theatre.
