General Terms and Conditions of Service

BUS ACCESS

ART. 1 - Customers must always enter through the front door and exit through the rear door.
ART. 2 - Customers are required to show the hostess their valid travel document, to be purchased at authorised points of sale. If he/she does not have one, he/she must purchase it from the bus hostess.
ART. 3 - The hostess must validate the ticket and has the right not to admit on board anyone without one or if the customer refuses to purchase it and/or have it validated by the hostess.
ART. 4 - Buses must only be boarded and alighted at authorised bus stops and in compliance with the boarding and alighting signs.
ART. 5 - It is not permitted to board buses if the maximum total number of passengers stipulated in the vehicle registration card has already been reached.

ACCESS FOR THE DISABLED

ART. 6 - Non-ambulatory and wheelchair users are entitled to free access to the vehicle, provided that the wheelchair seat is not already occupied by another disabled person in a wheelchair.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

ART. 7 - The travel document is personal and non-transferable and must be kept intact for as long as it is valid, having the value of a receipt.
ART. 8 - The customer is obliged to show his or her ticket at every check carried out by the control personnel, who, as such, is protected by Art. 336 of the Criminal Code.
ART. 9 - In the event of an inspection by authorised personnel, the customer is required to show a personal identity document. If he refuses to provide his personal details to the inspection staff, they may request the police to intervene and the customer will be prosecuted under Art. 651 of the penal code. False declarations of one's own and another's identity will be prosecuted under Art. 496 of the Criminal Code.

ON-BOARD ANCILLARY EQUIPMENT

ART. 10 - Upon boarding the bus, passengers must collect their headset from the hostess, which must be used for the entire duration of the tour.
ART. 11 - If the customer uses the bus more than once, as is his or her right, he or she must reuse the headset given to him or her when validating the ticket; in the event of loss, he or she must repurchase it from the hostess at a cost of 50 cents.
ART. 12 - At the end of using the earphones, customers are kindly requested to return them to the hostesses.

CHILDREN ON BOARD

ART. 13 - Children up to five years of age travel free of charge, from five to seventeen years of age pay a reduced fare.
ART. 14 - Pushchairs and prams may only be kept open in the disabled person's seat with wheelchair, when present and when free, if they are placed against the backrest of the seat, with the wheels locked by the brakes while driving and with the frame secured with the seat belt. If the seat cannot be used, or on vehicles that do not have one, the chassis of the pushchair or pram must always be closed and the child must be held by the hand or in the arms. In any case, the disabled person has priority in the use of the seat.

ANIMALS ON BOARD

ART. 15 - Small animals that have been fitted with a device to render them harmless (leash and muzzle) may be transported.

TRANSPORT OF GOODS

ART. 16 - Each Traveller is allowed to transport one item of luggage free of charge, as long as the size does not exceed 50x30x25 cm.
ART. 17 - Each passenger must keep their luggage at their feet, taking care not to disturb other passengers or obstruct passageways.

COMPLEMENTARY RULES

ART. 18 - Passengers must give priority in seats to elderly persons, invalids, pregnant women and persons with children in their arms.
ART. 19 - If passengers stand, they must hold on to the handles or handrails and must not stand on the steps at the doors. Passengers are required to maintain correct and polite behaviour in the vehicle.
ART. 20 - It is absolutely forbidden:

Smoking (Law No 584/75);
Using vehicles without a valid validated travel document;
Occupying more than one seat;
Damage or soiling of means of transport and infrastructure;
Throw any object into the middle;
Behaving in such a way as to disturb other people;
Engaging in advertising and commercial activities without the company's consent;
Getting into a car while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs;
Make unnecessary use of the emergency door opening control;
Remain standing if there are vacancies;
Travellers must also comply with the warnings, invitations and instructions issued by the company's staff for the safety and regularity of the service.
The company accepts no liability in the event of accidents suffered by travellers who have not complied with the above-mentioned requirements.

TIMETABLES AND CONNECTIONS

ART. 21 - The timetables displayed to the public may be subject to change during their period of validity. Any variations will be duly communicated to users by means of "Notices to the Public".
ART. 22 - The company declines all liability for consequences resulting from delays or service inconveniences that may cause damage to travellers transported, due to causes beyond the company's control or sudden and unforeseen route deviations.

OBJECTS REVENGE

ART. 23 - Any objects found on board the buses shall be deposited at the STAV S.p.A. premises - Corso Milano no. 168 in Vigevano.
